TASK 2 - CONTENT GENERATION
After exercise 1, we have to proceed to task 2 which is called text formatting. We were required to write minimum 1500 words on any subject that we are familiar with. The text content must be divided into 3 chapters minimum, it must also have at least 2 subtexts and one pull-quote per chapter.

After finishing the text formatting, we look for visual reference to create our own visual style. I liked this kind of visual style because it looks abstract and it allows people to unfold their imagination. Therefore, I would like to use light and warm tone like beige, apricot, orange and so on.

After determine the visual style, we start to draw our own visual immediately.

REFLECTION
Experience :
During the first week, I think it is not a heavy subject since its just require us to come out with a story and try to illustrate it. At the first two weeks are fine but when time passed, I started to felt a little bit stress for this subject because the illustration part took me a lot to time to draw and I used most of the time to think on how to illustrate the picture in an interesting way. Moreover, I've also struggle with color scheme. The illustrations are good but the color just don't look nice and also Mr Vinod suggested me to work on a better color scheme as well. I've changed 2-3 color scheme for my illustrations and I did a lot of research and references about color. Finally my overall illustration looks good and I can proceed with designing the book layout.

Observation:
Even though it has a lot of workload but it actually helps me to think and learn on how to draw an artwork that can tell something for the viewer but not too direct. And also, when I writing the story, it also helps me to imagine the scene in the story. I have a lot of imagination and also the story scene in my mind but my drawing ability is not too good. And I have to practice a lot and try my best to do the best.  During classes, I saw some of my classmate can draw nice illustration with a nice color scheme, I felt upset for myself at the moment but I know I shouldn't. Soon, I turned this negative energy into an inspiration for my work. Then, I realized that I am not good at choosing color. So, I did a lot of research and I learned a lot. After this project I found out that I actually improved a lot for picking a good color scheme and also my drawing skills. This is not only helpful for this subject, but also benefits my other module and it must be useful in my future.

Finding :
I found out that is very important to know what style I want so that I have a direction and I just need to move towards to the goal. I realize one of the problem I have is sometime I don't know what style I want that cause me to take a long time to design and also keep changing in the middle of the progress. Anyway, when I finish the illustration and them together I felt satisfied and I have never thought that I can draw this kind of illustration. Even though there's still a lot to improve no matter in the illustration or writing, I believe that after more and more practice, I can do better in my future.

FURTHER READING

This book that is understanding the structure and freedom in design, from theory into real-world application. The benefits of working with grid are simple, clarity, efficiency, economy and continuity. A grid introduces systematic order, to a layout, distinguish types of information and easing a user's navigation through them. Using a grid permits a designer to lay put enormous amounts of information, such as in a book or a series of catalogues. Therefore, grid also allows many individual to collaborate  on the same project or on series of related project overtime.
