We were require to create a brand guide for Darrma. After the briefing, Ms Low has provide us the content that we have to include in the brand guide. Below is the information of brand guide :

After receiving the feedback from lectures, it is good to go with the second option as the layout is good and have very strong color and typo identity.

here is the final design but there are some bugs for the interactivity need to be fixed :

FEEDBACK

Week 11 :
Collaterals :
1. The "Summer off" at the corner of Instagram story is not readable. Try to use other words or remove it. 
2. Invitation card option 2 is good to go.
3. Choose only one option for each collaterals.

Brand Guide :
1. the layout is fine, try to keep the paragraph and subtext consistent to avoid too many eye movement when reading it.  
2. Table of Content option 1 is better. 
3.  (To everyone) Try your best to write by your own words especially in "brand personality".
4. try to keep it short.

Week 12 :
General feedback :
1. Try to write your own words, at least "brand personality". This is because you are the one who design it, you should know why it is created in this way.

Specific feedback :
1.  layout is fine, complete the last chapter "Application".

Week 13 :
General feedback :
1. Try to complete the brand guide as next week is presentation. The google slides has been prepared and please put your own slides accordingly. 

Specific feedback :
1.  It is not necessary to have the logo again in chapter 4. The logo should appear and introduce in chapter 1. 
2. Do not repeat same information in the following section. Try to be concise.
3. Be careful of the sentences, come, full stop and spaces.



REFLECTION
When designing the brand guide, I struggle a lot at the beginning as I have a lot of ideas for the layout. I look for many references and try to minimize the ideas that are suitable for my illustration style of the brand. Then, I have came out with two option. Since this project is actually the combination of two modules, sometimes I struggle with the opinions and feedback from two lecturers. There is no right or wrong, sometimes they agree with the same thing but sometimes they give different opinion of the design. More over, this is the first time to create an interactive pdf, I struggle a lot to create buttons especially the navigation bar. I redo the navigation bar few times because after receiving feedback, there are changes need to be made and some part need to add on and remove. Finally I found out that the best way is to wait until I got the approval of the design and layout from both lecturers then only I create the buttons for the chapter.

I realized that I already have the direction of designing the brand guide. So, the following chapters is much more easy for me as I just need to go with that direction I want, and try to come out with different types of interesting layout but also to keep it consistent. I found out that two lecturers are giving different feedback is because the understanding is different. What I do is to come out with an interesting and consistent layout but also, make sure each section have sufficient information.

I have gained a lot of knowledge about a brand from this project, like logo exclusion zone, brand personality, style and of course, the design and layout. Then, I also glad that I learned a new skill which is to create interactive pdf. I believe that this would be very helpful for my design and I hope that everything I learned and experienced from this project can improve my design ability in my future.
