This week lecture will be presented by my group which is about the effects of color in packaging design towards consumers purchase intention.


EXERCISE 1 - BOX MAKING
Week 1 : 
For the first exercise we were required to choose two loose items (without packaging). The item sizes should not be larger than 300mm. Then, we need to design a box for each items.

I wanted to make a base inside the box (same as Vaseline) so that it wont shake and the cover will be sliding design.

EXERCISE 2 - LABEL DESIGN
In this exercise, we have to choose a theme (retro, vintage, contemporary, typography) to design a playing card box. Therefore, the theme I wanted to go is contemporary. 

At first, I choose Halloween as a theme for the card design. However it does not work well some more, I am not familiar with Halloween as well. Then, I've decided to draw fruits for my card design. Below is the four character I have drawn for King, Queen, Jack and Joker.

After consultation, I proceed with my work to and Mr Shamsul said my progression is a bit slow and the deadline is next coming week so, I have to work faster.

FEEDBACK

Week 2 :
The Vaseline already have packaging and it is well protected so I have to choose another item. For the lip liquid, is good to go but is secondary packaging. Therefore, I choose sunblock to replace Vaseline. However Mr. Shamsul suggest me to go with the first sketch design because it is more exclusive. For the lip liquid sketch is good to go.

Week 3
No lecture today, proceed with the progression and come out with ideas and themes for playing card design.

Week 4
Can continue with Halloween theme and idea but need to do research about Halloween.

Week 5
Public holiday, no consultation this week. Proceed with the work.

Week 6
Our progression is abit slow Mr Shamsul is quite worry about us. I have to come out with a theme (contemporary, retro) so that it is easier for me to design my characters. For the Jack, Mr Shamsul suggest me to use jackfruit as Jack in the deck of cards.
